Shut the whole cluster down.
curl --request POST \ --url https://stratum.example.com/v1/admin/cluster/shutdown \ --header 'Authorization: Bearer <token>' \ --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \ --data '{ "confirm": "cl-ba6pf44j", "powerOff": true, "reason": "power work in the rack" }'Records the shutdown and returns at once (202); the control plane does the work, and GET says how far it got:
- On a cluster with Ceph, sets
noout, norebalance, nobackfillandnorecover, so nothing is marked out or moved while nodes are off. - Stops every running instance. Their desired state is kept, so they start again after the cluster is back. A stop-protected instance is left running and shuts down with its node.
- With
powerOff(the default), powers every node off, the node this ran on last. Without it, waits for the operator to power the nodes off (prepared).
When the nodes boot again, the cluster waits for every node and every OSD, clears the flags it set, and the instances start. A single-node install has no Ceph: the same call stops the instances and powers the node off.
confirm must be the cluster id. Refused (409) while a shutdown or an
upgrade is in progress, or while a node is shutting down or rebooting
(NodePowerActionInProgress). Install-scope; gates on cluster:Shutdown.

The cluster id (GET /version), typed back to confirm.
Example
cl-ba6pf44jPower the nodes off. false stops every instance and sets the Ceph flags, then waits for the operator to power the nodes off.
Why; recorded and audited.

power work in the rackResponses

The whole-cluster shutdown: what was asked and how far the cluster got.
draining stops every running instance (their desired state is kept) and,
on a cluster with Ceph, sets noout, norebalance, nobackfill and
norecover. Then powering_off powers every node off, the node the
shutdown ran on last, or prepared waits for the operator to power them
off. When the nodes boot again (or on cancel), recovering waits for every
node and OSD, clears the flags this shutdown set and lets the stopped
instances start. done and canceled are final. none: never requested.
object
True powers the nodes off; false stops at prepared.
What the cluster is doing or waiting for.
The Ceph flags this shutdown set and will clear. A flag set before it is never listed.
Instances this shutdown stopped; they start again on recovery.
The node that powers off last.
When the nodes were told to power off (or were ready to be).
Example
{ "state": "none", "message": "Stopping instances: 3 still going down."}Bad request.

One finding of a rejected IAM policy document. A rejection lists every finding, so the author fixes the document in one round trip.

Index of the statement at fault; -1 for the document as a whole.
The offending action, where one is at fault (ACTION_NOT_APPLICABLE).
Field errors, for codes that carry them: each problem at its field
(see FieldError). Documented on the responses that set it, e.g.
approveNodeJoin’s INVALID_INPUT and JOIN_APPROVAL_REFUSED.
Absent otherwise.
One field’s problem, the stage-2 installer API’s shape.

Structured facts about the refusal, for codes that carry them. The

it, e.g. IMAGE_POOL_MISMATCH (see ImagePoolMismatchDetails) and
