stratumctl admin images

Base images: the pinned cloud images the installer offers, added after the install

Terminal window
stratumctl admin images [flags]

List the base-image catalog and what is registered

Terminal window
stratumctl admin images catalog [flags]

The base images the installer offers (AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS Stream), each pinned to a dated upstream build, and where each stands: available, importing, registered, failed (with the reason) or nameTaken (another image holds the name). Add entries with “catalog add”.

Terminal window
stratumctl admin images catalog
stratumctl admin images catalog --output json

Add base images from the catalog as global images

Terminal window
stratumctl admin images catalog add <name>... [flags]

Records a global image import for each named entry and returns at once. The control plane downloads the pinned build, checks its size and sha256 before the import, and imports it. Run “catalog” to follow it. An entry that failed before is replaced; one already registered or importing is left as it is.

Without internet access a download fails in seconds with “Not downloaded: <reason>.”. Import the file from a mirror with “images import” instead.

Terminal window
stratumctl admin images catalog add almalinux-10-genericcloud
stratumctl admin images catalog add ubuntu-26-04-cloud debian-13-genericcloud
Flag Type Default Description
--storage-class string storage class to import into (default: the default class)
